Ten Polar Bears named All-OAC in Men's Lacrosse, Lich and Coach St. Laurent receive special awards

ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Peyton Lich (Palmyra, N.Y./Macedon) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in men's lacrosse for 2025 in voting conducted by the league's head coaches.
Also earning All-OAC honors were fifth-year seniors Chad Calderwood (Chapel Hill, N.C./Episcopal) and Alex Reimer (Lancaster, N.Y.), seniors Joe Keeley (Boynton Beach, Fla./Georgetown Prep), Ian Roy (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Northern) and Caleb Bennett (Stokesdale, N.C/Linganore), juinors Colin Willits (West Chester/Lakota West), Alex Bergeron (Grafton, Mass.) and Nathan Flynn (Springboro) and sophomore Ryan Frech (Columbus/Worthington Kilbourne).
Lich, Willits, Bergeron, Keeley, Frech and Flynn were named to the All-OAC First Team, Calderwood and Roy were named to All-OAC second team, and Bennett and Reimer were Honorable Mention selections.
Tenth-year head coach Nat St. Laurent won Co-Coach of the Year for the 2025 season. He led the Polar Bears to their tenth consecutive winning season while breaking the record of most wins in a season. He also led the team to its first OAC Tournament title and first NCAA Tournament appearance. In his time at ONU, he has an overall record of 108-52, a winning percentage of .672.
Lich started 14 games at goalkeeper this season, leading the team with 143 saves, breaking the freshman single-season record and moving up to third all-time in ONU history.
He also scored the first goal by a goalie in ONU history.
He was named OAC Defensive Player of the Week three times this season.
Willits started all 20 games this season and broke ONU's single-season record with 54 goals. He also has 13 assists and a team-high 67 points.
Defensively, he is third on the team with 51 ground balls and has 20 caused turnovers.
In his career, Willits has 96 goals and 26 assists for 122 points. His career goal total is ranked fourth all-time at ONU.
Bergeron also started all 20 games this season, finishing the season second on the team with 26 caused turnovers to go along with 43 ground balls. He also has three goals and two assists for five points.
In 37 career games at ONU, he has 34 caused turnovers and 49 ground balls, along with seven points on four goals and three assists.
Keeley is now a two-time All-OAC selection after being named Honorable Mention last season as a junior.
He started in all 20 games and has 25 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers this season.
In his career, Keeley has 98 ground balls and 59 caused turnovers. His caused turnover total ranks third all-time.
Frech played in all 20 games, leading the team with 31 caused turnovers and was second on the team with 56 ground balls.
He also added six goals and three assists for nine points offensively.
In two years at ONU, Frech has 85 ground balls, 47 caused turnovers and 11 points off seven goals and four assists. His caused turnover total ranks tied for eighth all-time.
Flynn played in all 20 games this season while starting 14. Offensively, he had 25 poitns off 13 goals and 12 assists. Defensively, he had 41 ground balls to go with seven caused turnovers.
In his career, he has 27 goals and 23 assists for 50 points, 66 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.
Calderwood played in all 20 games this season, leading the team with 169 faceoff wins and 78 ground balls, breaking his own single-season record in each category.
He owns the career ground balls record with 273 and is first in career faceoff wins with 593. He also has a career faceoff percentage of .561, which ranks tied for third all-time.
Roy started 18 of 20 games this season, scoring 15 goals with 18 assists for 33 points. He also has 11 ground balls.
In 66 career games, he has 57 points off 28 goals and 29 assists, along with 35 ground balls and five caused turnovers.
Bennett started all 20 games this season and led the team with 31 assists. He was also third on the team with 30 goals and tied for second on the team with 61 points.
Defensively, he has 49 ground balls to go with seven caused turnovers.
In four years at ONU, he has 120 points off 67 goals and 53 assists, 93 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers.
Reimer started 11 games this season, ending the season with 16 goals and three assists for 19 points. He also added 10 ground balls.
In his career, he has 64 points on 46 goals and 18 assists, along with 31 ground balls and six caused turnovers.
The Polar Bears have a 16-4 overall record in 2025, breaking the previous record of 14 wins in a season. ONU was second in the OAC with a 8-1 league record and won the OAC Tournament.
