BALROTHERY, Ireland — Junior Adam Sherick (Lebanon) threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Ohio Northern football team to a 53-6 victory over the Louth Mavericks of the American Football Ireland league on Sunday afternoon.

  • The Mavericks got on the board on a nice 53-yard touchdown pass from player/coach Ty Henry to O. Finn early with 8:41 left in the game.
  • Northern wrapped up the scoring with a 30-yard TD pass from Sherick to McKeown on the final play of the game.
  • The ONU coaching staff was going to take a knee, but the Irish players and coaches wanted to continue playing, resulting in ONU's final score.
  • The Polar Bears out-gained the Mavericks 486-74 in total offense.
