Alison Steinbrunner named USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region Athlete of the Year

ADA. — Senior Alison Steinbrunner has been named the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region Athlete of the Year in voting conducted by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
On Saturday, she won the Great Lakes Regional Women's Cross Country Championships individual title in 21:00.
Steinbrunner's time broke her own school record and was 37 seconds faster than any other runner in the field.
The No. 30-ranked Polar Bears finished seventh out of 33 teams with 247 points.
Steinbrunner also won the OAC Championship by 41 seconds and claimed the UW-Oshkosh Brook's Invite title as well.
Steinbrunner and fellow senior Lydia Weaver will be running again on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Championships in Terre Haute, Ind. at noon.
