Bonamer, Gales stay perfect in OAC at No. 1 doubles, but Otterbein tops Women's Tennis 8-1

WESTERVILLE – The Ohio Northern women's tennis team fell to league leading Otterbein 8-1 Tuesday afternoon at the Richard A. Sanders Tennis Center.
The Polar Bears are now 6-9 overall and 3-3 in Ohio Athletic Conference action, while the Cardinals are 15-3 overall and move to 7-0 in OAC competition.
Freshmen duo of Ashley Bonamer and Christie Gales snagged a hard fought 9-8 (7-5) win at the No. 1 doubles spot over Otterbein's Brittany Rings and Cheryl Thinnes, pulling Northern within 2-1 after the doubles action.
The pair remains undefeated in OAC doubles play holding a record of 6-0 and 11-2 overall for the 2010 season.
Otterbein put the match away by winning all six singles matches.
