ADA — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team was ranked No. 8 in the final United Soccer Coaches Poll, released Dec. 5.
Northern (20-2-2 overall) jumped from No. 14 to No. 8 after making a run to the Elite 8 round of the 2017 NCAA Div. III Women's Soccer Tournament.
The Polar Bears made the largest leap in the poll after jumping six spots.
Williams (Mass.) took the top spot after claiming the 2017 National Title, while Chicago (Ill.) was ranked second and the College of New Jersey was ranked third.
ONU made its deepest run in the NCAA Tournament in school history under the guidance of 14th-year head coach Mark Batman.

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team is ranked No. 14 in both the D3Soccer.com and the United Soccer Coaches poll, released on Tuesday afternoon.
Northern (17-1-2 overall) is ranked in both polls for the fifth consecutive week after posting a 1-0-1 record in the Ohio Athletic Conference tournament last week.
In the D3Soccer.com poll, the College of New Jersey took the top spot with 998 points and 15 first place votes, while William Smith (N.Y.) is ranked No. 2 with 925 points and the University of Chicago rounded out the top-3 with 913 points and the final first place vote.
In the United Soccer Coaches poll, the College of New Jersey took the top spot, while William Smith (N.Y.) was ranked second and Hardin-Simmons (Tex.) moved into the top-3.
Northern returns to action Saturday morning at 11:30 am as it hosts Penn St.-Behrend in the first round of the NCAA III Tournament at Kerscher Stadium.
