Junior Colt Lovejoy named OAC Wrestler of the Week

ADA – Ohio Northern junior Colt Lovejoy has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week of February 9-15.

Lovejoy posted his fourth consecutive victory over a nationally ranked opponent by defeating No. 9-ranked, David Shapiro 6-4 at 165 pounds in the meet at No. 13-ranked Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday. His decision tied the match at 9-all and moved his record to 29-4 on the year.

He is ranked No. 9 in the country in his weight class and has won four consecutive matches against nationally ranked opponents.

The No. 29-ranked Polar Bears return to action on Tuesday at home against Muskingum at 7:30pm at the ONU Sports Center.
