Bio
Austin Veltman finished his eighth season as the head men's and women's swimming and diving coach at Ohio Northern in 2025-26.
In the 2025-26 season, he guided the men's program to a perfect 8-0 overall record, including a 4-0 conference mark, and the program's 13th Ohio Athletic Conference Championships title. The women's program ended the year with a 3-5 overall record, including a 3-2 league mark, and a third-place finish at the OAC Championships.
Veltman and his coaching staff were named the OAC Women's Coaching Staff of the Year in 2026 and 2021.
In his eight seasons at ONU, Veltman's men's teams were 44-20 overall and 25-9 in OAC action, while his women's teams were 33-36 overall and 19-15 in OAC competition. Combined, he owns an overall record of 77-56 and a conference mark of 44-24 at ONU.
Before coming to Ohio Northern, he was the head swimming and diving coach at Hiram in 2017-18.
Veltman was also an assistant coach for five seasons at Hope (Mich.) and an assistant coach for one year at Forest Hills (Mich.) High School.
He earned his bachelor's degree in business management from Hope in 2011.
While at Hope, Veltman was a four-year letterman for the Flying Dutchmen and helped HC win three MIAA championships.
