Austin Veltman enters his second season as the head men's and women's swimming and diving coach at Ohio Northern.

In his first season, he guided the men's program to a 4-3 overall record, a 3-1 conference mark, and a second-place finish at the 2019 OAC Championships. Meanwhile, the women's program ended the year with a 4-4 overall record, a similar 3-1 league record, and a third-place finish at the conference championships.

Veltman also helped guide Libby Sartschev to OAC Diver of the Year honors and coached the men's and women's programs to eight combined OAC event titles.

Before coming to Ohio Northern, he was the head swimming and diving coach at Hiram during the 2017-18 campaign.

Veltman was also an assistant coach for five seasons at his alma mater, Hope (Mich.), and an assistant coach for one year at Forest Hills (Mich.) High School.

He earned his bachelor's degree in business management from Hope in 2011.

While at Hope, Veltman was a four-year letterman for the Flying Dutchmen. He was a recipient of the Hope College Presidential Scholarship, a member of the MIAA Honor Roll of Athletes, and helped Hope win three MIAA Championship titles.

Veltman currently resides in Findlay.
