Chris Matejka was named head coach of the Ohio Northern men's soccer team in December of 2019 after serving as the interim head coach for the 2019 season. He spent the previous six seasons as an assistant coach for his alma mater.
As the interim head coach, the Polar Bears went 13-6-3, a .591 winning percentage, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament as an at-large selection. During the regular season, ONU shut out opponents in five straight games and enjoyed a 10-game win streak.
Matejka is a 2013 graduate of ONU. He was a four-year varsity letter winner for the program and a captain as a senior.
During his ONU soccer career as a player, Chris won four Ohio Athletic Conference Championships and made four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. As a senior, he was named D3Soccer.com All-American and OAC Midfielder of the Year.
He played in 96 games with 74 career starts. Matejka scored 19 goals, dished out 24 assists and tallied 62 career points.
Chris earned his Creative Writing degree from ONU in 2013. He's a native of Chatham, Ohio, where he attended Cloverleaf High school.
Chris and his wife, Aly, have two children, Lillian and Marek.

Anthony Clark is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Ohio Northern men’s soccer program.
Clark returns to his alma mater after graduating from ONU in 2017 with a degree in Criminal Justice.
He played for the Polar Bears for two seasons after transferring from NCAA Division II University of Findlay, where he was a varsity player for 2 years.
Clark was a 2-year varsity player at Ohio Northern, winning an OAC Championship in 2015 and making two NCAA tournament appearances in 2015 and 2016. He appeared in 30 career games with three starts for the Polar Bears.
After graduating from ONU, Anthony coached high school soccer at West Clermont High school and also club soccer in the Cincinnati area.
Anthony played at West Clermont High School in Cincinnati and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2018 with 75 goals and 67 assists in his career.

Dave Knapp is in his 19th season as an assistant coach for the ONU men’s soccer program.
His primary coaching responsibility is working with the team's goalkeepers.
The Columbus, Ohio, native was a four-year starter in goal for the Polar Bears from 1989-1992.
Knapp was a four-time All-Conference honoree, earning Second Team honors in 1989, 1990 and 1992 and Honorable Mention kudos in 1991.
He is ONU’s all-time career leader in saves and ranks second all-time in the Ohio Athletic Conference in saves with 484.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree from ONU in 1993.
Dave and his wife, Kim, live in Waterville, with their sons, Zach and Klayton.
