Ohio Northern to open fall slate Sept. 19 at Trine (Ind.) Invitational

ADA - Ohio Northern women's golf team will open the fall portion of its 2008-09 schedule Sept. 19 at the Trine (Ind.) Invitational under seventh-year head coach Stacey Hairston.
The Lady Polar Bears, who finished the 2007-08 season with a 101-19 record and a No. 14 national ranking, will also host the fifth annual ONU Fall Invitational on Sept. 21 at Colonial Golfers Club.
Northern is slated to play seven rounds this fall, capped by the 36-hole Wittenberg Invitational on Oct. 11-12.
Brennan finishes NCAA Golf Championships with a strong round of 76

WAVERLY, IOWA - Ohio Northern senior Meagan Brennan fired a four-over par 76 in the final round of the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships at the Centennial Golf Club in Waverly, Iowa.
The senior from Mason, Ohio, started her round on the tenth hole and after a pair of bogies on the 12th and 13th hole's, Brennan carded her first birdie of the championships on the par-5 14th. She would finish her opening nine with a 3-over 39.
Brennan posts 87 in the third round of the NCAA Golf Championships
WAVERLY, IOWA - Ohio Northern senior Meagan Brennan carded an 87 in the third round of the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships at the Centennial Golf Club in Waverly, Iowa.
For the second straight day, Brennan got off to a tough start, triple bogeying the 12th hole, her third of the day. She added two pars and three bogies before another triple bogie on number 18 to post an opening nine 46.
She played better on the front nine, posting five pars but she could do no better than a 41 on the closing nine for an 18-hole total of 87.
Meagan Brennan earns All-America and All-Region honors

ADA - Ohio Northern senior Meagan Brennan became the first Lady Polar Bear golfer to earn Duramed FUTURES Tour National Golf Coaches Association Division III All-American honors as announced at the NGCA Awards Banquet Wednesday evening.
She was also named to the All-Great Lakes Region team for the first time in her career. All voting was conducted by coaches in the NGCA.
"These are great honors for Meagan and its a wonderful cap to her awesome career," said ONU head coach Stacey Hairston."
Brennan carded an 85 on Day 2 of the NCAA Golf Championships
WAVERLY, IOWA - Ohio Northern senior Meagan Brennan got off to a rough start and posted an 85 in the second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships at the Centennial Golf Club in Waverly, Iowa.
The senior double bogied four of her first seven holes en route to a 45 on the opening nine. She then made five pars and four bogies on the back nine to come home in 40 for an 18-hole total of 85.
"Today was a true struggle," said ONU head coach Stacey Hairston. "She got off a rough start and she was just out of whack all day."
