Sunday's Meet: The Ohio Northern women's indoor track and field team will continue its 2021 season on Saturday when they host the annual Joe Banks Invitational at the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse ... Field events are scheduled to begin at 11:30 am with running events beginning at 12:30 ... Baldwin Wallace and John Carroll are also slated to compete ... A schedule of events can be found at the live stats link above ... The Polar Bears are ranked No. 6 nationally in the first weekly USTFCCCA power rankings this week ... Northern is coming off a second place finish at the Otterbein Early Season Classic last Sunday ... ONU was second with 136 points ... John Carroll won the meet with 241 points, Otterbein was third with 86, Wilmington was fourth with 27 and Capital was fifth with nine ... Sophomore Anna Schatzle won the pole vault, clearing a personal best 3.21 meters Schatzle was named the OAC Women's Field Athlete for her efforts ... Senior Stella DeWitt was second in the long jump with a leap of 5.41 meters, was second in the 200-meter dash in :28.20 and was third in the 60-meter hurdles in :09.78 ... Sophomore Lexi Neff was second in the 800 in 2:29.85 ... Senior Kylie Vestal was second in the 1-mile run in 5:27.66 and junior Tessa Pitcovich was second in the 3,000-meter run in 11:00.45.
