GEORGETOWN, Tex. — The offense poured in 17 goals as the Ohio Northern's women's lacrosse team earned a 17-6 victory at Southwestern (Tex.) on Thursday on game one of its spring break trip.

- Senior Elena Martin (Canfield) led the Orange and Black with four goals and an assist.
- Sophomore Jaxsyn Murdock (Galloway/Alder) added a four-goal hat trick in the contest.
- Senior Lydia Lehman (West Chester/Lakota West) had one goal and four assists for Northern.
- Freshman Amber Regan (Dublin/Bishop Watterson) added a three-goal hat trick in the game.
- After two Pirate goals to open the game, the Polar Bears responded with a 6-0 run in the first period.
- Freshman Clarissa Hamilton (Marysville) found the net in the second period to extend the ONU lead to 7-3.
- The Polar Bear defense led 12-4 at halftime.
- Martin found the the net to open the third period extending the lead to 13-4.
- Southwestern was led by Sydney Martin with three goals in the contest.
- Sophomore Kara Fox (South Euclid/Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) had nine saves and earned the win in goal for Ohio Northern.
- ONU out-shot SU 35-21 and had the ground ball advantage 38-37.
