Women's Lacrosse drops 19-5 home contest to Baldwin Wallace in regular season finale

ADA — Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team fell 19-5 at home against Baldwin Wallace in its regular season finale on a warm and sunny Wednesday evening.

- BW scored eight goals in the first period and led 8-0 heading into the second period.
- Junior Emma Hoersten (Hilliard/Davidson) scored at 4:36 in the second period to get ONU on the scoreboard.
- The Yellow Jackets led 18-1 heading into the fourth period.
- Baldwin Wallace was led Rennick Mellon and Taylor Miklos, who scored four goals each.
- Juniors Elena Martin (Canfield) and Mackenzie Miller (Maumee/Anthony Wayne) had a team-high two caused turnovers to help the Polar Bears.
- Freshman Kara Fox (South Euclid/Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) and sophomore Jenna Messinger (Springboro) combined for five saves in the contest.
- BW out-shot ONU 28-10 and had the ground ball advantage 14-13.

- Senior Keaghan Burden (Brunswick) is first all-time in Ohio Northern history with 229 career points. She is also ONU's all-time career leader with 123 assists and is second with 106 career goals.
- Burden leads the team in points this season with 71, which is also the single-season points record.
- She has a team-high 30 assists this season and is fifth in the OAC.
- BW leads the all-time series 6-4.
- Senior Emma LoGiudice (Wooster) has a team-high 22 caused turnovers this season.
- She also has the single-season record this year in ground balls with 53.
- Hoersten has nine hat tricks this season and 17 in her career.
- She is first in ONU history in career goals with 123 and second in points with 150.
