Women’s Cross Country finishes 5th of 9 at All-Ohio Classic

CEDARVILLE — The Ohio Northern women's cross country team finished fifth of nine Division III teams at the All-Ohio Classic on a sunny Friday evening.
The Basics

- Ohio Northern finished 5th out of 20 collegiate teams with 280 points.
- John Carroll won the team title with 41 points, Ohio Wesleyan was second with 44 points, Wittenberg was third with 113 points and Otterbein was fourth with 127 points.

- Senior Samantha Roth (Brunswick) led ONU across the finish line, placing 20th overall os 133 Division III runners in 23.49.
- Freshman Anna Gagliano (Hilliard/Davidson) was 28th in 23.59.
- Senior Dani Widmark (Zanesfield/Benjamin Logan) was 30th in 23.59.
- Senior Natalie Armbruster (Cincinnati/Mount Notre Dame) was 32nd in 24.07.
- Senior Laura Tanner (Wayne/Elmwood) was 37th in 24.25.
Notables
- The Polar Bears were 4th out of five OAC schools at the All-Ohio Classic.
- Northern finished 12th of 20 teams overall, scoring the meet with NCAA I, II and III and NAIA schools.
- 17th-year head coach Jason Maus is now 1,415-530 as head coach of the ONU women's cross country program and is the winningest coach in program history.
