Junior Anna Schatzle wins pole vault to lead Women’s Outdoor Track and Field at Indiana Tech Invitational

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Junior Anna Schatzle (Brookville, Ind./Franklin County) won the pole vault with a new personal-best mark to lead the Ohio Northern women's outdoor track and field team on Monday at The Monday Meet hosted by Indiana Tech at Warrior Park.
Monday's meet was part of a split-squad schedule for the Polar Bears, as only select team members competed.
Fresh off clearing a personal-best height of 3.61 meters at the Bob Kahn Invitational on Friday, Schatzle set a new personal record of 3.70 meters in Monday's meet.
That mark ranks fourth all-time at ONU.
The Polar Bears had one other top-10 finish on the day courtesy of freshman Chloe Gibson (Ostrander/Buckeye Valley), who posted a distance of 10.12 meters to place ninth in the triple jump.
Freshman Toria Ingalls (Tiffin/Columbian) finished just outside the top 10, tying for 11th in the high jump with a mark of 1.51 meters.
Senior Mackenzie Detmer (Liberty Center) finished 13th in the triple jump with a distance of 9.89 meters, and sophomore Rosie Schroeder (Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) added a 15th-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:10.63.
The Polar Bears return to action with split-squad events at the two-day Bucknell (Pa.) Classic on Friday and Saturday and the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday.
