Saturday's Meet: The Ohio Northern women's indoor track and field team will continue its 2021 season on Saturday when they travel to the Mount Union Wuske Invitational at the Peterson Fieldhouse ... Field events are scheduled to begin at 10 am with running events beginning at Noon ... Heidelberg and John Carroll are also slated to compete in the 4-team meet ... Northern is coming off a second place finish at the annual Joe Banks Invitational last Saturday at the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse ... Senior Stella DeWitt won the long jump (5.41 meters) and 60-meter hurdles (:09.23) and was runner-up in the triple jump (10.63 meters) to lead Ohio Northern ... The Polar Bears finished in second with 111 points, John Carroll won the team title with 155 points and Baldwin Wallace was third with 81 points ... Sophomores Anna Schatzle and Cienna Kuhn finished 1-2 in the pole vault with a vault of 3.2 meters, and 2.75 meters, respectively ... The 4x400 relay team of junior Mackenzie Detmer, junior Taylor Ellerbrock, freshman Julianna Herron, sophomore Lexi Neff won in 4:20.85 ... Ellerbrock is third in the OAC and seventh nationally in the 800 (2:24.14) ... DeWitt leads the OAC and is third nationally in the 60 hurdles (:09.23).
Head Coach Jason Maus: Maus is in his 11th season as the head women's track and field coach at ONU … He owns a 455-132-2 overall indoor record, a winning percentage of .774.
