Sophomore Anna Schatzle named OAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

ADA — Sophomore Anna Schatzle (Brookville, Ind./Franklin County) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 18-24.

Schatzle won the pole vault at the Otterbein Early Season Showcase, clearing an indoor personal best 3.21 meters. 
She helped the Polar Bears (3-1 overall) to a second place finish at the season-opening meet.

Schatzle was fifth at the 2020 OAC Indoor Championships in the event, clearing 3.17 meters last February.

Ohio Northern will open the home portion of its 2021 indoor season when they host Baldwin Wallace and John Carroll at the annual ONU Invitational Saturday at 11:30 am at the ONU Sports Center.
