This Weekend's Preview: The Ohio Northern women's track and field team will compete in the 3rd Annual George Glass Invitational hosted by Taylor University in Upland, Ind. on Saturday afternoon ... The meet will kick off at 11 a.m. with the women's javelin throw and the men's pole vault ... Running events will begin at 11:30 a.m., starting with the women's 4x800-meter relay, followed by the men's 4x800-meter relay ... All running events will be scored as finals ... Northern jumped one spot to No. 5 in the USTFCCCA power rankings after being ranked No. 6 in the preseason poll ... The Polar Bears enter the meet after posting a third place finish at the Otterbein April Fools Invitational ... Junior Avery Ewing set a new meet record in the 800-meter run at that meet finishing first in the event in 2:17.01 ... Junior Ashlie Baumann also had an impressive individual finish, as she was second in the 5,000-meter run in 17:52.72 ... Sophomore Melinda McIntosh posted a top-3 finish in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing third in the event in :15.84 ... McIntosh also joined the team of juniors Taylor Fisher and Sydney McCluer and freshman Stella DeWitt to finish third in the 4x100-meter relay in :52.36 ... Fisher also finished third in the 400-meter run in 1:09.81.
