Sophomore Emily Richards sets new school record at the Jesse Owens Track Classic

COLUMBUS — Sophomore Emily Richards competed at the Jesse Owens Track Classic hosted by Ohio State University at Jesse Owens Stadium Saturday afternoon.
The sophomore finished second in the 800-meter dash with a new school record time of 2:05.54.
She ran the third fastest time ever in NCAA Division III history in the event.
Junior Kase Schalois and sophomore Matt Molinaro also competed in the meet.
Schalois finished sixth in the 3,000 steeplechase with a personal best time of 9:18.26.
Molinaro claimed a fourth place finish in the 800-meter run, running a season best of 1:50.20.
The Polar Bears return to action next Friday and Saturday as they compete at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Wilmington.
