Weaver breaks own school record in 1,500-meter relay at Dr. Keeler Invitational

NAPERVILLE (Ill.) -- Senior Lydia Weaver broke her own school record in the 1,500-meter run to lead a handful of Ohio Northern women's track & field team members at the Dr. Keeler Invitational hosted by North Central (Ill.) on Thursday and Friday.
The meet was unscored.
Weaver crossed the finish line in 4:40.35, which better her previous time of 4:41.12
Senior Vicki Moga brought home a third place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.58 meters (5-2.25).
Sophomore Gabrielle Metzner was eighth in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.46 seconds and was also 27th in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 27.90 seconds..
Senior Emily Blum notched a 10th place finish in the triple jump, posting a leap of 10.24 meters (33-7.25).
Sophomore Sam Hoffman finished 15th in the 10,000-meter run in 41:07.01.
Sophomore Catie Huber finished the 800-meter run in 2:18.20, which placed her 16th and junior Laura Avino finished 34th in 2:24.28.
Ohio Northern will return to action again on Thursday, when it heads back to Naperville to compete in the Gregory Invitational.
