ADA — Ohio Northern senior Jenna Bell (Latrobe, Pa.) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of Apr. 6-12.
This is Bell's sixth career OAC Player of the Week honor and third this season, including her second in a row.
The most recent recognition comes after going 2-0 in a 7-0 sweep of Capital on Wednesday and in a 7-0 sweep of Mount Union on Saturday.
She won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles and 6-1 at No. 2 doubles to lead Northern over Capital, then won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and 6-2 at No. 2 doubles against Mount Union.
Bell has a team-best 15 doubles wins and is 27-22 overall on the season.
She is 130-77 overall in her career with 66 singles wins, which leaves her just two shy of breaking into ONU's Top-10 list in that category. She is also one win shy of tying for 10th in overall wins at ONU.
The Polar Bears (12-3 Overall) will return to action on Friday when they travel to Otterbein at 4 p.m.
