Senior Jamie Hurst named OAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Jamie Hurst (Granger, Ind./Penn) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of March 16-22.

This is Hurst's third career Player of the Week accolade and first this season.

The recognition comes after winning twice to lead the Polar Bears in a 5-2 victory over Spring Arbor (Mich.) on Saturday.

Hurst won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and 6-4 in No. 1 doubles.

Hurst is tied for second on the team with a 13-7 singles record and is 8-9 at doubles.

In her career, Hurst is 111-71 overall in her career, including a 65-30 singles mark and 46-31 doubles record.

The Polar Bears (10-2 Overall) return to action on Saturday at Ohio Wesleyan at 10 a.m.
