CANTON — Junior Meghan Letizia and freshman Lynn Kelly each posted singles wins to lead the Ohio Northern women's tennis team in a 7-2 loss at NCAA Division II foe Walsh Tuesday afternoon at the Klekotka Tennis Complex.
The Polar Bears fall to 8-3, while the Cavaliers improve to 10-14.
Letizia won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4 singles and Kelly won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 singles.
Walsh swept the doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead, then won four of the six singles contests to finish the match.
The Polar Bears will return to Ohio Athletic Conference play on Saturday when they travel to Mount Union for a 1 pm match.
