ADA — Ohio Northern women's tennis player, junior Taryn Stromback, has been named to the NCAA management council.
Stromback is the first representative in Ohio Northern and Ohio Athletic Conference history to receive this honor.
"Being appointed to serve on the NCAA DIII Student-Athlete Advisory Committee was a huge honor, but being elected to serve as the female representative for the NCAA DIII Management Council was an opportunity I had never anticipated," said Stromback.
The council is made up of 19 members in total, composed of athletic directors, senior women administrators, institutional CEO's, and faculty athletics representatives.
She will be a full, voting member on the NCAA DIII council and will begin her term on January 17th following the conclusion of the NCAA Convention.
"I am extremely excited to begin serving on the Management Council and be able to have an even greater impact on decisions that will affect all Division III student-athletes," said Stromback. "I am also very excited and honored to be able to represent Ohio Northern University and the Ohio Athletic Conference on a national level."
Prior to being named to the NCAA management council she served as a member of the national Student Athletic Advisory Committee.
Taryn, a pharmaceutical business major, has earned Academic All-OAC honors for her work in the classroom, and has been named All-OAC for her efforts on the tennis court.
