Women's Swimming & Diving finishes 7th at Wooster Invitational

WOOSTER — The Ohio Northern women's swimming & diving team finished seventh of 10 teams with 577 points after the third and final day of Wooster Invitational at the Timken Natatorium and the Wooster YMCA pools on Saturday.
Freshman Lauren Halle (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) led the Polar Bears on Saturday with a fifth place finish in the 200 fly in 2:12.61.
Freshman Libby Sartschev (Parma/Normandy) finished seventh in the 3-meter diving with 242.60 points.
Sophomore Kierra Watson (Brownsburg, Ind.) was ninth in the 200 back in 2:12.93.
Halle, junior Sydney Veon (Riverside, Ill./Brookfield), senior Molly Wheeler (Sylvania/Northview), Halle and senior Stephanie Brookens (Louisville) wrapped up the competition with a ninth place finish in 3:43.13.
Case Western Reserve won the team title with 1846.5 points, Edinboro (Pa.) was second with 1265.5 points and Westminster (Pa.) was third with 1149 points.
The Polar Bears will return to action with their annual Winter Training trip to Colorado in January.
