Amy Elmer sweeps diving events to lead Women's Swimming past Notre Dame (Ohio) 150-85

ADA — Junior Amy Elmer swept the 1- and 3-meter diving events lead the Ohio Northern women's swimming & diving team to a 150-85 non-conference win over Notre Dame (Ohio) Friday evening at ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 10-3 on the season, while the Falcons fall to 2-7.
Elmer won the 1-meter diving with 231.60 points and the 3-meter diving with a score of 226.60 points.
Sophomore Adriana Jones followed in second place with scores of 162 points and 184 points, respectively.
Junior Mackenzie Hoffman clinched two individual victories, winning the 100 free in :56.31 and the 200 free in 2:02.57.
Sophomore Lindsey Rayhill won the 200 fly in 2:17.22 and Senior Michelle Eggers won the 500 free in 5:26.37.
The 200 medley relay team of sophomores Jamie Garbash, Kasey Manko, Cait Munro, and senior Alison Garbash won in 1:53.83.
Manko, Hoffman, Alison Garbash, and sophomore Alena Anderson placed second in the 200 free relay in 1:42.45, while freshmen Caroline Knauss and Ashley Zoeller, Munro, and Jamie Garbash followed shortly behind in third finishing in 1:48.23.
Northern held its annual "Swim for Cystic Fibrosis" raising over $500 through donations and relay races, and they will continue to take donations at Saturday's meet with Case Western Reserve at 1 pm at the ONU Sports Center.
