Six Polar Bears named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team in Women's Soccer

ADA — Six Ohio Northern student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team for the 2025 season.
Seniors Haley Cannon (Oregon/Clay), Rileigh Glassburn (Delaware/Olentangy Berlin) and Nora Metcalf (Herndon, Va.) and juniors Caroline Hennegan (Delaware/Olentangy), Macy Hawkins (Xenia/Chaminade-Julienne) and Morgan Moeller (Harrison/Roger Bacon) were each named Academic All-District.
This is the third Academic All-District accolade for Cannon and first for the other five student-athletes.
Cannon, a criminal justice and sociology major, is a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree.
She started in all 20 matches this season and had six points off two goals and two assists.
Cannon ends her career with 22 points off seven goals and eight assists in 71 matches.
Glassburn is also a two-time Academic All-Conference selection.
The communications and marketing major had one goal this season for two points.
In 69 career games, Glassburn had 12 points off five goals and two assists.
Metcalf, an exercise physiology major, is a two-time Academic All-OAC selection as well.
She started all 20 games this season and had two points off one goal.
In four years at ONU, she has played in 74 career matches with two goals for four points.
Hennegan was named Second Team All-OAC this season and is now a two-time All-Conference selection. She is also a one-time Academic All-Conference honoree.
The early childhood education major started 19 games and had one assist for one point this season.
In her career, Hennegan has appeared in 49 matches with 37 starts and has two assists for two points.
Hawkins, a mechanical engineering major, was named Academic All-OAC last season.
In three years at ONU, she has appeared in 46 matches with 16 starts.
Moeller was also named Academic All-Conference last season.
The goalkeeper and mechanical engineering major posted 62 saves in goal and eight shutouts on the season.
Moeller has started all 52 career games she has played and has a total of 150 saves in goal and 19 shutouts. She is ranked tied for 7th all-time in ONU history in career shutouts.
The CSC Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
First, Second and Third Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced Dec. 17.
The Polar Bears finished the season at 7-9-4 overall and 4-3-1 in the OAC and finished the OAC Tournament as runners up under third-year head coach Ben Tierney.
