Freshman Morgan Moeller named OAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Morgan Moeller (Harrison/Roger Bacon) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 1-3.

Moeller earns her first career OAC Player of the Week accolade after a pair of impressive performances against Wittenberg and No. 2 Case Western Reserve to open her freshman campaign.

Against Wittenberg, in her first collegiate start, she made one save and posted a shutout in a 0-0 draw on Friday.

She followed that up by making five saves and allowing just the one goal against the defending national runner-up CWRU on Sunday.

The Polar Bears return to action on Friday at Hardin-Simmons (Tex.) at 8 p.m.
