HANOVER, Ind. — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 non-conference match at Hanover (Ind.) on Saturday afternoon at the Hanover Soccer Complex.
The Polar Bears fall to 4-3-1, while the panthers remain undefeated at 5-0-2.
After a scoreless first half, Hanover's Maggie Day scored just 2:24 into the second half to go up 1-0.
Day got HC an insurance goal with 8:22 to play to make it 2-0.
Freshman Elizabeth Pierce (Liberty Township/Mount Notre Dame) had three shots to lead the ONU offense.
Ohio Northern out-shot Hanover 13-12 and led in corner kicks 4-2.
The Polar Bears will wrap up the non-conference portion of their schedule on Wednesday when they host Ohio Wesleyan at 7 pm at Kerscher Stadium.
