Women's Soccer lands eight Academic All-OAC honorees

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team had eight players named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference in voting done by the leagues academic advisors.
Senior Kristina Klusek, junior Emily Brodict, junior Hannah Moloney, sophomore Rachel Weigman, sophomore Missy Ward, sophomore Sarah Huster, sophomore Shelby Stephens, and sophomore Mary Ellie Schmalzl all were honored.
Klusek is a nursing major and earns her third consecutive Academic All-OAC selection.
This season, she led the team with four assists and scored four goals.
Brodict earns her second Academic All-OAC accolade.
The pharmacy major is sixth all-time in shutouts for the Polar Bears with 12, eight of which came this season.
Moloney, a graphic design major, earns her first Academic All-OAC honor.
She played in ten games this season, and recorded one assist.
Weigman also earns her first Academic All-OAC accolade.
The pharmacy major appeared in 15 games, making nine starts, and recording two assists on the season.
Ward appeared in all 19 games, and scored two goals this season.
The pharmacy major earns her first Academic All-OAC selection.
Huster also earns her first Academic All-OAC selection.
This season, she appeared in ten games for the Polar Bears.
Stephens, a business major, earns her first Academic All-OAC accolade.
She is second on the team in goals with five and has two assists on the season.
Schmalzl appeared in 12 games this season.
The business major earns her first Academic all-OAC honor.
The Polar Bears went 10-7-2 on the season and finished tied for second in the OAC with a 6-2-1 mark under 11th-year head coach Mark Batman.
