GAMBIER — Senior Kristina Klusek recorded her third career hat trick to lead Ohio Northern to a 4-1 victory at Kenyon in a non-conference women's soccer match Tuesday at Mavec Field.
The Polar Bears improve to 3-1-0, while the Ladies fall to 1-2-1 on the season.
Klusek finished the match with three goals and an assist for seven points.
She opened the scoring with a goal just 1:59 into the contest.
Virginia Ferguson tied the match at 1-1 with a goal for the hosts in the 30th minute.
But Klusek scored her second goal at the 54:08 mark and got her third goal with 18:13 left in the match.
She now has 36 career goals and ranks eighth all-time at ONU in that category.
Freshman Anna Niemeyer capped the scoring with her first career goal in the 79th minute, assisted by Klusek.
Sophomores Shelby Stephens and Alaura Mikesell also had assists for ONU.
Ohio Northern outshot Kenyon 13-10, but the Ladies had a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday at 1 pm at Transylvania (Ky.)
