Seth Miller wins 141-pound title, leads Wrestling at Mid-States Invitational

ALMA, Mich. — Freshman Seth Miller (Bethel Park, Pa.) won the 141-pound weight class to lead the Ohio Northern wrestling reserve squad at the Mid-States Invitational on Saturday.

The Basics

ONU Individuals

• Miller went 4-0 with two tech falls to capture the 141-pound weight class title.
• Junior Flint Guerra (Lebanon) was second at 174 with a 3-1 mark.
• Freshman Adrian Pigg (Dublin/Scioto) placed 2nd with a 4-1 record and one pin at the 149 pound weight class.
• Freshman Aiden Helmke (Defiance/Tinora) had a 5-1 record with five pins and placed 3rd at 184.
• Junior Hunter Probasco (Williamsport/Westfall) earned a 4th place finish with a record of 3-2 at heavyweight.
• Sophomore Aaron Turner (Dayton/Butler) placed 5th with a 4-2 record at 149. 
• Freshman Will Miller (Yonkers, N.Y./Montessori Academy) placed 8th at 125.

Notables

• Freshman Londen Murphy (Moscow/Moeller) has a team-high 15 pins this season with a 25-4 record. 
• Johnson is 29-4 on the season with 9 pins and 9 tech falls.
• Freshman Ben Hegler (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) is 26-8 on the season with 9 pins and four tech falls.
• Freshman Kurt Mokros (Lewis Center/Olentangy) is 30-9 with six pins and six tech falls.
• Senior Ajay Locke (Lancaster) is 36th in program history in career wins with 85.
• No. 15-ranked sophomore Myles Johnson (Springboro)  is ranked No. 15 nationally at 197 pounds by the NWCA.
