Wrestling ranked No. 25 in NWCA Dual Team Poll; Johnson ranked No. 4 at 197 pounds

ADA — Sophomore Myles Johnson (Springboro) is ranked No. 4 at 197 pounds in Division III by the National Wrestling Coaches Association, while Ohio Northern is ranked No. 25 in the first NWCA dual rankings of the 2025-26 season.

Johnson is 12-1 and 2-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference with four tech falls this year.

He went 4-0 and placed first in the 197 pound weight class at the 44th Annual ONU Invitational on Saturday.

Johnson earned a bid to the NCAA III Championships last season after placing second at the NCAA Region 4 Championships.

Northern is 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the OAC this season under 38th-year head coach Ron Beaschler.

The Polar Bears will return to action Sunday, December 21, at the West Liberty (W.Va.) Duals at 9:30 am.
