Freshman Londen Murphy named OAC Wrestler of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern freshman Londen Murphy (Moscow/Moeller) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week of Dec. 1-7.

This marks the first career Wrestler of the Week accolade for Murphy.

The recognition comes after earning a pin to lead Northern in a 38-6 victory at Mount Union on Tuesday and posting a 5-0 record and finishing first in the 157-pound weight class at the ONU Invitational on Saturday.

Murphy leads the Polar Bears in the 157-pound weight class with a 12-0 record, nine falls and three tech falls on the season.

The Polar Bears (5-0 Overall, 2-0 OAC) return to action Sunday, Dec. 21, at the West Liberty (W.Va.) Duals at 9:30 a.m.
