Seven Polar Bears advance to semifinals on first day of NCAA III Region 4 Wrestling Championships

DANVILLE, Va. - The #16-ranked Ohio Northern wrestling team got seven wrestlers into the semifinals of their respective weight classes on the first day of the NCAA Division III Region 4 Championships on Friday.
The Basics

- Senior Cael Vanderhorst (Covington) went 2-0 to reach the semifinals at 149.
- Freshman #13 ranked Myles Johnson (Springboro) went 2-0 to reach the semifinals at 285.
- Senior Teagan Hendricks (Jamestown/Greeneview) went 2-0 to reach the semifinals at 165.
- Senior Adam Myers (Springfield/STEM Academy) went 3-0 to reach the semifinals at 174.
- Freshman Chase Vanderhorst (Covington) went 2-0 to reach the semifinals at 133.
- Senior Colin Mellott (Wapakoneta) and junior Ajay Locke (Lancaster) each went 2-1 and are in the consolation quarterfinals at 125 and 184, respectively.
