Saturday's Tournament: No. 23-ranked Ohio Northern will wrap up its regular season on Saturday with it hosts the Mid-States Invitational at the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse ... Seven other teams, including nationally-ranked foes #3 Wabash (Ind.). #12 Mount Saint Joseph and #20 Olivet (Mich.), are expected to join ONU ... ONU wrapped up the OAC portion of its schedule on Tuesday with a 43-9 victory at Wilmington ... The Polar Bears finished third in the OAC Regular Season standings with a 4-2 record ... Freshmen accounted for all three pins, as No. 9-ranked Jacob Reed, Jayden Jones and Gavin Layman had first period falls at 141, 149 and 184 pounds, respectively. ... Head Coach Ron Beaschler: Beaschler is in his 34th season at the helm of the Ohio Northern wrestling program and currently stands as the longest-tenured head wrestling coach at the institution ... He sports a 354-247-4 career coaching record in dual action, a winning percentage of .588, making him the all-time winningest coach in program history ... Beaschler was inducted into the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Hall of Fame in 2008 and has been named OAC Coach of the Year three times in 1993, 2012, and 2013.
