Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the OAC will not allow fans to be in attendance for any contests until at least March 1 ... ONU will compete at 2 pm against Baldwin Wallace, who will open the day with a 1 pm meet against Wilmington ... No. 3-ranked John Carroll was also scheduled to compete against ONU and Wilmington on Sunday, but were not able to travel due to COVID-19 protocol issues at JCU ... Ohio Northern junior Jordan Hardrick, senior Schuyler Caprella and senior Cash Thompson are ranked in the D3wrestle.com preseason poll for Ohio Northern ... Hardrick is ranked #8 at 165, Caprella is #10 at 157 and Thompson is ranked #6 at 197 pounds ... The Polar Bears opened their 2021 season with victories over Heidelberg and Wilmington at the ONU Sports Center last Sunday ... Five ONU wrestlers posted 2-0 records, with freshman Ross Rayfield recording a pin and a tech fall at 141 pounds ... BW opened its season with a 26-16 win over #3 John Carroll and a 50-0 win over Otterbein ... Senior Stanley Bleich, who is ranked #3 at 149 pounds, moved up to 157 pounds and defeated the No. 1 and No. 3 ranked wrestlers at that weight class to lead the Yellow Jackets ... Bleich was named the OAC and D3Wrestling.com Wrestler of the Week for his efforts ... Sophomore Jack Stanley is ranked #6 at 125 pounds, senior Dalton Leightner is #2 at 157 and sophomore Doug Byrne is #6 at 184 for BW.

Head Coach Ron Beaschler: Beaschler is in his 33rd season at the helm of the Ohio Northern wrestling program and currently stands as the longest-tenured head wrestling coach at the institution ... He sports a 340-241-4 career coaching record in dual action, a winning percentage of .585, making him the all-time winningest coach in program history ... Beaschler was inducted into the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Hall of Fame in 2008 and has been named OAC Coach of the Year three times in 1993, 2012, and 2013.
