Barcaskey named OAC Wrestler of the Week for the second consecutive week

ADA — For the second consecutive week, sophomore Nate Barcaskey (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week.

Barcaskey quickly picked up his third career OAC Wrestler of the Week honor after going 2-0 over the course of the week to lead the Polar Bears (1-2 overall, 0-1 OAC).

Northern opened the week at No. 22 Mount Union where Barcaskey closed the match with a victory at Heavyweight with a 5-2 decision.

In its contest at Manchester (Ind.), ONU saw Barcaskey pick up a pin in 3:41 to improve to 14-2 on the year.

The Polar Bears return to the mat on Monday, Dec. 18 as they travel to Lexington, Va. to compete in the Washington & Lee (Va.) Duals.
