Wrestling lands three Academic All-OAC honorees

ADA – Three Ohio Northern wrestlers were named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference in voting done by the leagues academic advisors.
Senior Cody Lovejoy, junior Colt Lovejoy and sophomore Dillon Brancheau all received the honor.
Cody earned his third Academic All-OAC honor.
The pharmacy major is an All-American, a First Team Academic All-American, a NWCA Scholar All-American, a three-time All-OAC honoree and has competed at the NCAA Championships twice. Lovejoy is a two-time winner of the prestigious Elite 89 Award as the student-athlete with the highest GPA of all NCAA III Championships competitors. He won the award in both 2013 and 2014.
He finished his season with a 43-2 record and led the nation with 27 pins this season.
Colt, a criminal justice major, earns his second Academic All-OAC accolade.
Colt posted a 32-7 record with eight falls and ended his campaign ranked No. 9 nationally at 165 pounds.
Dillon earned his first Academic All-Conference selection.
Brancheau posted an 18-21 record this season..
The Polar Bear ranked as high as No. 19 nationally in 2014-2015 under head wrestling coach Ron Beaschler.
