Senior All-American Cody Lovejoy named OAC Wrestler of the Week for seventh time in his career

ADA — Ohio Northern senior All-American Cody Lovejoy.was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week of Jan. 12-18.

Lovejoy led the Polar Bears to a second place finish out of eight teams Saturday at the Wabash (Ind.) Duals at Chadwick Court in Crawfordsville, Ind.

Ranked No. 1 nationally in NCAA Division III in the heavyweight weight class, Lovejoy went 4-0 with pins in all three of his bouts. He also won once by forfeit.

Lovejoy is now 28-0 with a team-high 19 pins on the year.

This marks the third time this season and the seventh time in his career that Lovejoy has earned OAC Wrestler of the Week honors.

The Polar Bears will return to action Tuesday night when they begin the Ohio Athletic Conference portion of their schedule at Heidelberg.
