ADA — The Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team dropped a 16-1 decision to Capital on Wednesday evening at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
The polar Bears fall to 5-6 overall and are 0-2 in OAC action, while the Crusaders improve to 7-3, 2-0.
Freshman Maddie Storr scored with 8:05 left in the first half to pull ONU within 4-1 in a defensive-minded first half.
But CU scored with one minute left in the half and then scored four more goals in the first 3:30 of the second half to take control.
Capital out-shot Ohio Northern 43-8 in the contest.
The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday at 5 pm with a road game at Muskingum.
