SYLVANIA — Freshmen Madeline Storr and Maggie Fuller scored two goals each to lead the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team in a 13-7 loss at Lourdes on Saturday at Wildcat Stadium.
The Polar Bears fall to 1-3, while the Wildcats improve to 3-2.
Fuller gave ONU an early 1-0 lead with a goal just 5:36 into the game.
The Wildcats answered with five straight goals before Fuller scvored again with 10:49 left in the first half.
LU led 7-2 at halftime and went up 8-2 just 37 seconds into the second half.
But the Polar Bears battled back with goals by Storr and freshman Alexandra Miller to make it 8-4 with 26:33 to play.
A goal by sophomore Aliya Hutman-Zahler made it 10-5 with 19:17 left and goals by freshman Alexis Cailor and Storr got ONU within 12-7 with 6:49 remaining.
LU out-shot ONU 37-23.
The Polar Bears will return home for a 5 pm match with Kenyon on Tuesday at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
