Senior Marisa Alfes named OAC Women's Golfer of the Week for second time this season

ADA — Senior Marisa Alfes (Bellbrook) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the week of Oct. 28-Nov. 3.

This is her third time receiving the honor in her career and second time this season.

The latest recognition comes after winning her third and fourth events of the season last week.

She won Medalist honors at the Berry (Ga.) Chik-Fil-A Classic Oct. 27-28, going 2-over par 75-72—147 in the 86-player field.

The field consisted of nine players ranked in the top 130 in NCAA Division III.

Alfes entered the tournament ranked #57 nationally.

She also won Medalist honors at the Polar Bear Classic on Monday in Hebron, Ky.

Alfes won Medalist honors with a 6-over par 78 in the 30-player field.

ONU finished second of four teams with a 64-over par 352.

Alfes leads the team this season with a 76.1 average.

Alfes has a 79.2 career average, which is the second-lowest average all-time in ONU history.

The Polar Bears have completed their fall season. The spring schedule will be released later this winter.
