Tournament Preview: The Ohio Northern women's golf team will compete in the Capital Fall Classic on Monday at Blacklick Woods Golf Course … The Polar Bears will have two teams at the event and will be competing against fellow Ohio Athletic Conference schools Capital, Otterbein, Mount Union and Muskingum … Golfers will tee off with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., playing 36 holes … The projected finish time is 6:30 p.m. … The Polar Bears are coming off a second-place finish of nine teams at last weekend's Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Preview at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette … ONU finished the 36-hole tournament with a 329-329—658 … Sophomore Grace Honigford led the Polar Bears with a second-place finish out of 58 golfers with a 79-79—158 … As a team, Ohio Northern had three golfers in the top 10, with freshman Rhianna Firmstone in fifth with an 83-80—163 and freshman Amelia Burger in seventh with an 82-85—167 … Playing as an individual, senior Karlee Staugler also posted a top-10 finish, tying for ninth with an 82-87—169 … Through eight rounds this season, Honigford leads the team in scoring at 76.1 … Firmstone is second at 80.6, Burger is third at 83.5 and junior Isabella Orofino is fourth at 84.9.
