Season Preview: Ohio Northern Women's Golf looks to have continued success in 2015

ADA — The Ohio Northern University women's golf team returns a strong core for the 2015-16 campaign.
Third year head coach Chad Bucci welcomes back five letter winners from the 2014-15 team that finished third at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.
Junior Ariana Tomasula is the top returner for the Polar Bears with a team-leading average of 88.3 strokes per round.
A two-year letter winner at ONU, Tomasula is currently ranked sixth all-time in school history with a career average of 90.45 strokes per round.
Northern also returns juniors Hannah Whisler, Jenifer Hipskind, Heather Comer and sophomore Madison Dramis who will all look to have continued success.
Whisler, a member of the 2015 All-OAC team, was second on the team averaging 90.9 strokes per round. She is currently ranked ninth all-time in school history with a career average of 91.69 strokes per round.
Hipskind posted a 95.9 average a season ago, while Comer averaged 94.1 strokes per round and Dramis 110.2 strokes per round.
The Polar Bears also return seniors Allison Fye and Alyssa Mason, who both sat out last season.
Fye, a two time Academic All-OAC honoree, is currently ranked 18th all-time in school history with a career average of 96.40 strokes per round. The senior has shot a career best 87 on three different occasions.
Northern welcomes five new freshmen for the 2015-16 season, Ashley Bischiotti, Alaina Mikalajewski, Stacie Shalenberger, Suzanne Short, and Caitlin Silva all who
will look to provide depth for the 2015-16 season.
The Polar Bears will play in four tournaments during the Fall, opening the season on Sept. 5-6 at the Denison Fall Invitational.
