Women's Golf finishes 13th at Ohio Wesleyan Laura Bump Invitational

OSTRANDER -- Freshman Ariana Tomasula carded an 87-92--179 to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team at the Ohio Wesleyan Laura Bump Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the Mill Creek Golf Club.

The Polar Bears (29-60 overall) finished 13th out of 18 teams with a 726 for the 26-hole tournament.

Tomasula finished tied for 50th out of 107 golfers on the par-71, 5834-yard course.

Junior Megan Conley and freshman Hannah Whisler tied for 56th with 180s, junior Allison Fye tied for 74th with a 187 and freshman Heather Comer tied for 87th with a 198.

Wittenberg won the team title with a 634, Madonna (Mich.) was second with a 644 and Denison was third with a 646.

Denison's Brynn Fitzgerald won Medalist honors with a 148.

The Polar Bears Will wrap up their regular season April 26-27 with the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Baldwin Wallace.
