Women's Bowling wraps up season in record-breaking fashion at Hoosier Classic

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Ohio Northern women's bowling team broke its five-game school record to wrap up its 2025-26 season at the Hoosier Classic Saturday and Sunday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern was 58th of 64 teams with 6,165 pins for five regular games and 15 baker games.
- Venue: Royal Pin Western Bowl — Indianapolis, Ind.
- Pikeville (Ky.) led the team qualifying totals with 7994 pins, Mount Mercy (Iowa) was second with 7932 pins and Milligan (Tenn.) was third with 7906 pins.
- Mount Mercy defeated Pikeville 3-0 in the match play finals which included the top eight finishers.
ONU Individuals
- Senior Cindy Durliat (Findlay/Liberty Benton) led the Polar Bears with a career-best 5-game series of 856, an average of 171.2, with a high game of 201.
- Freshman Elizabeth Nauert (Findlay/Liberty Benton) had a 648 for four games.
- Junior Lexa Steinke (Wapakoneta/New Bremen) had a 648 for four games.

The Hoosier Classic has the largest, most prestigious field of teams. It's also the most difficult based on oil patterns every year.

The Polar Bears were 54th with a school record 4,034 pins in its five games on Saturday, an average of 161.4 ppg.
- That record shattered the previous mark of 3,985 set at the Midwest Collegiate earlier this season.
- ONU finished with 2,131 pins in its 15 baker games on Sunday, an average of 142.1 ppg.
- Durliat's 856 series in the second-best in ONU history.
- Third-year head coach Jeff Robinson leads the Polar Bears.
