Three more school records fall as Women's Bowling opens 2025-26 portion of schedule at Midwest Collegiate Classic

ADDISON, Ill. — Freshman Mylie Galigher (Bowerston/Conotton Valley) had her second record-setting performance in a row to lead the Ohio Northern women's bowling team in its first competition of the 2026 calendar year at the Midwest Collegiate Classic Saturday and Sunday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern was 48th of 55 teams with 6,609 pins for five regular games and 16 baker games.
- Venue: Stardust - Addison, Ill.
- Mount Mercy (Iowa) won the team title with 8163 pins, Judson (Ill.) was second with 8032 pins, Northwestern Ohio was third with 7989 pins and Lawrence Tech (Mich.) was fourth with 7978 pins.

- Galigher led the Polar Bears with an 114th place finish with a school record five-game series of 886 pins.
- Sophomore Liv Nastasi (Howard/East Knox) was 154th with a 831.
- Senior Cindy Durliat (Findlay/Liberty Benton) finished 168th with a 796.

- The Polar Bears were 47th with a school record 3,985 pins in its five games, an average of 159.4 ppg.
- ONU finished with a school record 2,624 pins in its 16 baker games, an average of 164.0 ppg.
- Galigher's 886 series broke the previous 5-game series record of 847 set last season by junior Emily Seckel (Marion/Pleasant).
- Her best game of 216 is the sixth-best in school history.
- Nastasi's 831 series in the fifth-best in ONU history.
