Women's Bowling finishes 12th of 14 at American Heartland Bowling Association II tournament

CANTON, Mich. — Freshman Mylie Galigher (Bowerston/Conotton Valley) and sophomore Liv Nastasi (Howard/East Knox) each surpassed the 500-pin mark for a three-game series to lead the Ohio Northern women's bowling team to a 12th place finish at the American Heartland Bowling Association II tournament on Sunday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern was 12th of 14 teams with 2,409 pins for three regular games and 15 baker games.
- Venue: Super Bowl Lanes - Canton, Mich.
- Lawrence Tech (Mich.) won the team title with 5589 pins, St. Vincent (Pa.) was second with 5570 pins and Alma (Mich.) was third with 5398 pins.
ONU Individuals
- Galigher led the Polar Bears with a career-best 3-game series of 513, which included a team-high game of 174.
- Nastasi rolled a career-best 504 over three games with a high game of 168.
- Senior Cindy Durliat (Findlay/Liberty Benton) had a 475 series with a team-best high game of 182.
- Sophomore Cait Rogers (Pickerington/North) had a career-best 461 for three games with a high game of 167.
- Junior Lexa Steinke (Wapakoneta/New Bremen) had a career-best 456 series with a high game of 168.
Notables
- The Polar Bears averaged 160.6 pins per game in its three games.
- ONU finished with 2257 pins in its 15 baker games, an average of 150.5 ppg.
- Galigher's 513 series is the second-best in school history. She was 27th overall as an individual.
- Nastasi's 504 series is the third-best in school history and she finished 31st overall.
- Durliat was 36th overall and her 475 series is the fourth-best in school history.
- Rogers' 461 series is the seventh-best in ONU history and she was 40th overall.
- Steinke was 42nd overall and her 456 series was the eighth best in ONU history.
