Charlotte Pauling earns first career double-double in Women's Basketball 65-39 win over Wilmington

ADA — Sophomore Charlotte Pauling (Beavercreek) earned her first career double-double as the Ohio Northern women's basketball team beat Wilmington 65-39 on Wednesday evening.

- Pauling had 11 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
- Sophomore Emerson Gray (Liberty Center) led the Polar Bears with 24 points and two steals.
- Junior Lexee Brewer (Sidney) had a career high eight assists along with eight rebounds.
- Sophomore Logan Phillips (Troy/Miami East) also had a team-best two steals.
- Wilmington was led byJazz Johnson with 12 points.
- Gray opened the game with a three and went on to score ONU's first eight points.
- Wilmington took their first lead of the game with 2:35 left in the first quarter, going up 11-10.
- The Quakers led 17-12 after the first quarter.
- Gray started the second quarter with six points, cutting the Wilmington lead to 19-18.
- Pauling then scored five straight points to give the Polar Bears a 23-19 lead.
- Northern led 29-26 at halftime.
- Gray had 16 of Northern's 29 points at the half.
- The Polar Bears outscored Wilmington 16-6 in the third quarter to lead 45-32 going into the fourth.

- A three from Phillips with 4:13 left in the game started a 10-0 run to end the game for the Polar Bears.
- Ohio Northern made 26-of-62 field goals for 41.9 percent and was 4-of-20 from beyond the arc for 20.0 percent, while Wilmington was 15-of-54 from the floor for 27.8 percent and finished 4-of-23 on 3-pointers for 17.4 percent.
- The Polar Bears made 9-of-13 free throws for 69.2 percent and the Quakers were 5-of-15 from the line for 33.3 percent.
