Luersman, Glenn lead Women's Basketball in 60-34 win over Wilmington

ADA — Fifth-year senior Kristen Luersman (Fort Jennings) and sophomore Chloee Glenn (Glandorf/Ottawa-Glandorf) each scored 12 points to lead the Ohio Northern women's basketball team to a 60-34 win over Wilmington on Wednesday evening.

- Records: Ohio Northern (13-7 Overall, 9-4 OAC), Wilmington (6-14 Overall, 3-10 OAC).

The Game
- Glenn also had seven rebounds and two steals while Luersman had five rebounds.
- Senior Brooke Allen (Woodville/Woodmore) scored 10 points to go with six rebounds.
- Junior Mackenzie Suprano (Cutler/Waterford) had a team-high eight rebounds and added seven points.
- Senior Abby Dickson led the Polar Bears with four assists.
- Alaiya Meaux led Wilmington with 10 points.
- Northern started the game on a quick 6-0 run with three layups from Allen.
- Wilmington had a 6-0 run of their own to make the score 8-8 with 1:55 left in the first quarter.
- The game was tied 11-11 after one quarter.
- ONU led 28-21 at halftime.
- Luersman scored all 12 of her points in the third quarter, including two 3-pointers, to extend Northern's lead to 49-30 at the end of the third quarter.
- The Polar Bears went on a 13-0 run in the fourth quarter to get their biggest lead of the night, leading 60-30 with 4:11 left in the game.
- Ohio Northern made 24-of-59 field goals for 40.7 percent and was 6-of-19 from beyond the arc for 31.6 percent, while Wilmington was 12-of-44 from the floor for 27.3 percent and finished 2-of-12 on 3-pointers for 16.7 percent.
- The Polar Bears made 6-of-7 free throws for 85.7 percent and the Quakers were 8-of-12 from the line for 66.7 percent.
